Prism is the glittering series of furniture pieces signed by Tokujin Yoshioka for brand Glas Italy. Transparent extralight 19 mm from the special refraction of light, in rectangular sheets that fit.
The Japanese designer presents the chair and the sofa of the same collection at Salone del Mobile 2014, made of transparent extralight 19 mm, tempered and heat sealed. The crystals are finished with special chamfering, which reflect and refract light, giving the object a look of rare preciousness. The bevelled edges are cut curves of light passing through the material, creating a rainbow of colors across the surfaces. The extreme lightness of the formal sitting, is matched by a significant load resistance.
